After leaving Fnatic last year, Enrique "xPeke" Cedeño Martínez decided to make his own team in a bid to return to the World Championship that he played in in Seasons 3 and 4 and won in Season 1. Building his team from the ground up, he brought together new talent and experienced LCS players alike to form a team that would take the Spring Challenger Series by storm and gain automatic promotion to the LCS Summer Split. Origen were one of the strongest teams in the LCS, and after narrowly losing to Fnatic in the finals of the playoffs, they made their way through the gauntlet to grab a place at Worlds.
